DIY Glitter Real Long Stem Red Roses
In the video linked above, I show a great example of how to DIY Long Stem Red Roses with glitter.
Materials Needed:
- A dozen long stem red roses
- Glitter of your choice, I suggest silver or gold.
- Scissors
- Tissue Wrapping Paper
- Hairspray
- A spool of ribbon
Instructions:
- Separate the 12 roses individually. It is best to work with one rose at a time.
- Pour some glitter out onto a small tissue paper on the side.
- Dip only a small section of the rose pedals into the glitter.
- Take a sheet of the tissue paper and fold it in half. Wrap the folded tissue paper around the rose. Use caution on this step because the rose is very delicate. Also be careful of thorns to not prick yourself.
- Cut the ribbon to wrap around the individual roses to secure the tissue paper. It may be best to pre-cut the ribbons for this step to make the process easier and faster.
- Lastly, if you choose, you can spray hairspray on the roses in order to help the glitter stick and last longer.
In the above listed video, I give a hands-on demonstration of completing a dozen roses using this process. The roses came out beautifully and were distributed to my co-workers the next day at work. They enjoyed them a lot and gave me multiple compliments.
